Financial Policy
This policy governs payment for all à-la-carte and concierge retainer services at Private Access Psychiatry. Please read it carefully before scheduling.
À-la-carte appointments
À-la-carte appointments include consultations, evaluations, and follow-up visits scheduled individually rather than under a retainer agreement.
- Deposit at booking: A 50% deposit is collected at the time of booking to reserve your appointment.
- Balance at appointment: The remaining 50% balance is charged at the time of the appointment.
- No-shows and late cancellations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, and missed appointments, forfeit the 50% deposit. It will not be applied to a future visit.
À-la-carte payments do not apply toward or reduce any concierge retainer fee.
Concierge retainer
Concierge retainer care is established only by mutual agreement between the practice and the patient following a qualifying consultation and evaluation, and receipt of the required deposit.
- First installment: 50% of the retainer fee is collected at the time of transition to retainer client status — upon approval of the retainer agreement.
- Second installment: The remaining 50% is collected 30 days later.
- No prior payments applied: Fees paid for à-la-carte consultations, evaluations, or follow-up visits do not apply toward the retainer fee.
- Non-continuation: If a client chooses not to continue after the first 30 days, the initial 50% retainer payment is forfeited and is not refundable.
Family retainer
A family retainer covers up to five individuals living in the same household under a single guarantor. The following exceptions apply:
- A separated parent who is the guarantor for a child living in a different home may include that child under the family retainer.
- A parent who is the guarantor for an adult child through age 26 may include that adult child under the family retainer, regardless of whether they share the same residence.
- The family retainer does not extend to extended family members, additional households, or individuals beyond the five-person limit unless a separate agreement is made.
The same two-installment payment schedule applies to the family retainer: 50% at the time of retainer approval, and 50% thirty days later.
